About bloody time!
Yes, it has been far too long since I posted anything to this blog, and I can’t even claim that this lapse was due to overwork, under-inspiration or extended leave due to a freak yachting accident.
I just couldn’t be bothered to write anything. Instead I’ve been playing around with this new installation of Textpattern, which is now powering my site – overall it’s very good, although my server seems to choke on the ‘Friendly URLs’ (something to do with the ForceType directive in .htaccess not working properly – I’ve emailed Tech Support but no answer yet).
So sorry, Blogger – my brief flirtation with you lasted a mere two weeks before my fickle nature was on to the next bright shiny blogging system. And of course, I’m now eyeing WordPress and MovableType very carefully…
I’ve sort of found a design I’m happy with, so it’s just a case of fixing the colours, reducing the size of the header graphic, and setting up the other sections of the site and we’re ready to go!
