Link: Textpattern for e-commerce?
I’ve written up some thoughts, observations and experiences on using Textpattern as an e-commerce CMS on my other site – so go read Using Textpattern to manage an e-commerce website.
I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has done or is thinking of doing the same thing (I think John Oxton mentioned it a while back, although I can’t find the reference now). Also anyone using a different blogging system – are there any examples of Wordpress or MT being used for e-commerce anywhere?
It’s been… interesting, to be using the same platform that I use on my personal sites for a completely different purpose, but I’ve also learned quite a bit about Textpattern that I didn’t previously know. My new favourite tag is <txp:output_form />, which would have saved me a lot of updating and saving every single page again and again if I’d known it was basically an include statement!
