The Great Global Number Meme
Ladies and gentlemen, a photo meme with a difference.
The Rules
Each person who is tagged must take and post a photo (to Flickr or elsewhere) that follows on in numerical order from the previous one—and the number that is pictured must have a real connection to the photographer. So whether that means it is your house number, a building you walk past every day, your favourite track on your favourite album, or your kid’s football shirt, each participant should also post the story behind the number. They should also summarise the rules and tag another five people to do the next number.
If you’re using Flickr, be sure to geo-tag your photo and add it to the Flickr Pool as well.
To begin…
One. In our tiny little Fen village, there is only one train a day, and every morning I walk the 20 yards to this platform to catch the train to work. Since we moved last week, I can actually see this platform sign from our bedroom window (and feel the freight trains as they rattle through in the evening)—it makes me feel part of the sadly neglected rail network that was once one of the things that made Britain great.
Tag five others
For this first entry, I’m going to tag people that I know love their photography, in the hope that they will help spread the net wide, so:
Pete Lambert, Faruk Ates, Jeremy Keith, Patrick Lauke, Kate Bolin – show us the Number Two. :)
