1001s

A couple of 1001 lists have been knocking about the internet recently. 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die and 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die (list here) both demand you waste the best part of an hour scrutinising and checking off your own consumption.
My final tally was 265 films, but only 71 books. Must try harder—in particular, I am embarrassed to admit that I have never read any Dickens. I also seem to have watched precious few films from the 1940s, for some reason.
