An Introduction to Using Patterns in Web Design by 37signals’ Ryan Singer covers a new way (new to me, at any rate) of solving interface design problems. Food for thought.
And EyeTrack III is a lengthy article summarising the results of recent user studies into the way we read or scan web pages. The study only considered news sites, but the results can be extrapolated to provide useful data when considering your own layout.
